Terms of Service

Plain language. No dark patterns. If you use Form Mate, these are the rules — for you and for us.

Last updated: March 2026

TL;DR — Use the tool to convert forms. Don't abuse it, don't reverse-engineer it, don't do anything illegal with it. We can suspend access if you do.

//

Accepting These Terms

By using Form Mate — accessing the site, running a conversion, connecting your Google account — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. There is no account creation step to accept terms through, so using the product is your acceptance.

//

What Form Mate Is

Form Mate converts forms between platforms. You provide a source form (Google Forms or Tally.so), we convert it to the target platform, and hand back the result. We are a conversion tool, not a form hosting service, analytics platform, or storage provider.

We do not store your form data. Conversion happens in memory. Once complete, nothing is retained on our end.

//

Your Google and Tally Accounts

To use Form Mate you connect third-party accounts (Google, Tally). You are responsible for maintaining the security of those accounts. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep credentials secure.

We will only access your Google account within the scopes you explicitly authorise during the OAuth flow. We will not access anything beyond those scopes. You can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

//

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Form Mate to convert forms containing illegal content, or create forms intended to defraud, harass, or harm others
  • Attempt to circumvent the free tier rate limits through automation, VPNs, or any other means
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the conversion logic or API structure
  • Use the service in any way that violates Google's or Tally's own terms of service
  • Overload the service through automated bulk requests or denial-of-service attacks
//

Free Tier and Limits

Form Mate is free to use up to 3 form conversions every 30 days. This limit exists to prevent abuse and keep the service sustainable. Limits are enforced by IP address and an anonymous browser identifier — both described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to change free tier limits with reasonable notice. Paid plans, when available, will be governed by separate terms confirmed at the point of purchase.

//

Your Content

You own your forms. We claim no rights to the content you convert. By using Form Mate, you grant us only the temporary, limited right to process your form data in memory for the purpose of performing the conversion you requested. Nothing more.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to convert the forms you submit. Do not convert forms that belong to someone else without their permission.

//

Availability and Changes

We try to keep Form Mate running reliably but we don't guarantee uptime. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or events outside our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by downtime.

We may change or discontinue features with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

//

Disclaimer of Warranties

Form Mate is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that conversions will be perfect, complete, or error-free. Complex forms may lose features that aren't supported by the target platform — this is disclosed through our warnings system during conversion.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss or conversion errors.

//

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Form Mate for violations of these terms, at our discretion, without notice. Since there are no accounts, “termination” means blocking your IP or rate-limit identifier. If you believe this happened in error, contact us.

//

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of Form Mate will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
